About ACM

ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, is an international scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing the arts, sciences, and applications of information technology. With a world-wide membership ACM is a leading resource for computing professionals and students working in the various fields of Information Technology, and for interpreting the impact of information technology on society...

On a local level the Pennsylvania College of Technology student chapter of ACM serves as the college's "computer club" as well as a common ground for all those who wish to supplement their education with topics prevalent in the world of computing technology today. We strive to serve the college community both in social and education aspects. Our goal is not only to give back to our members, but allow a medium for anyone with a slight interest in anything that may fall in our realm a chance to enjoy the exciting oppurtunities that today's technology offers. From gaming to programming to networking and more, we cover it all!

Penn College's ACM Club helps students become more involved on campus and around the community. The members come together weekly to discuss topics and deliver computer science news to each other. In addition to the weekly meetings, we hold bi-weekly LAN parties and once a semester we sponser a BYOC Lan Party. The ACM club meets every Thursday at 3:30pm in ATHS E208. PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO FALL BYOC THIS YEAR. We are planning now for the spring BYOC, and plan to make it the best yet.
